State Change: its definition and origin from fiqh and technical perspective

الملخص

Issue of Halal and Haram is very important in Muslim life and pure Halal products can be consumed by Muslims all over the world. Due to the recent developments in food and chemical Industory and complex nature of ingredients, the issue of Halal conformation is becoming critical and conflict of Shariah opinions of various Islamic scholars is increasing. Many Halal certification bodies and standardsare framed by regulatory bodies in different Muslim countries, but there is inconsistency about few issues amongthese standards and Shariah legal opinion/ Fatwas. One such big conflict is dectrine of Inqilab ul 'Ayn (known as term of Istihalah) which deals with the change of state and nature of food and makes a Haram food to an acceptable form/Halal. This study will focuss on understanding the grey areas of this very critical and contemporary issue, such as the defination of Inqilab al 'Ayn, issues and chalenges about diffrent types of food mixtures. The primary objective of this study is to explain the concept of Inqilab al 'Ayn.
